Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and safe ambulation while using proper body mechanics
• Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
• Document care activities accurately and clearly to support continuity of care
• Support mealtime and hydration needs, including safe feeding and meal setup
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Valid state work authorization to practice as a CNA
• Ability to pass background check and health screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Comfort with lifting and assisting residents (safe lifting training provided/encouraged)

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic nursing care techniques and compassion-driven bedside manner
• Understanding of infection control and proper PPE use
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes in resident status
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
