Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across general, obstetric (all trimesters) and vascular studies
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment (Toshiba units; Phillips coming soon) and ensure image quality
• Accurately document studies using EPIC RIS and Fuji PACS for timely radiologist review
• Collaborate with the radiology team and supervising technologist to prioritize patient care
• Provide patient-centered care during procedures, explaining exams and ensuring patient comfort
• Escalate critical findings to the radiologist and follow departmental protocols
• Participate in orientation and training, and be available for occasional on-call coverage

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification or RVS (through CCI) required (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT acceptable specialties)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of sonography/ultrasound experience preferred
• Comfortable performing OB, vascular and general ultrasound studies; echo a plus
• Familiarity with EPIC RIS and Fuji PACS strongly preferred
• Ability to submit a valid driver license and be within a 60-mile radius; must be in-state for orientation week

Knowledge & Skills

• Ultrasound imaging techniques across vascular, obstetric and general studies
• Proficiency with EPIC RIS and Fuji PACS charting/workflow
• Experience with Toshiba and Phillips ultrasound equipment
• Strong patient communication and positioning skills
• Ability to perform procedural support and follow departmental imaging protocols
• Comfort working in an acute care setting and coordinating with radiologists
