Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure safety and readiness
• Assist anesthesia providers during procedures by setting up instruments and anticipating needs
• Ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique and sterilization protocols
• Coordinate inventory, restocking, and equipment sterilization to support smooth operating room flow
• Communicate clearly with the perioperative team to promote patient safety and efficient turnover

Qualifications

• Certified Anesthesia Technician credential (required)
• Clinical experience working with anesthesia equipment in a hospital or surgical setting (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sterile processing protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced OR environments
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain if required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an anesthesia technician program or relevant clinical training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, and anesthetic supplies
• Knowledge of sterilization methods, instrument handling, and infection control
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
• Strong organizational skills and inventory management
• Comfort working in a high-energy surgical environment and supporting clinical teams
