Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct patient care during the day shift, prioritizing safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
• Support smooth shift handoffs and maintain accurate, timely charting

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — Maryland or compact RN license as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications encouraged where applicable
• Comfortable working a rotating schedule that includes weekends
• Clinical experience in a relevant care setting preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (for LPN) or ADN/BSN program (for RN)
• Ongoing continuing education and certification encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and documentation best practices
• Medication administration and IV/line care (as applicable)
• Patient safety protocols and infection control
• Electronic medical record navigation and accurate charting
• Time management in a fast-paced care environment
• Collaborative care and effective interdisciplinary communication
