Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care within inpatient interventional radiology, ensuring patient safety during procedures
• Monitor and manage patients undergoing procedural sedation and support rapid, safe recovery
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately using the EPIC EMR system
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments, triage patient needs, and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to departmental policies and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and recovery expectations

Qualifications

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Proven experience with procedural sedation and patient recovery
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and peri-procedural nursing
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
• Excellent patient assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage sedation care and monitor recovery effectively
• Clear communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Familiarity with sterile technique, infection control, and procedural safety protocols
