Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with compassion and respect
Support safe mobility and transfers while encouraging independence
Take and accurately record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
Provide attentive, person-centered care that preserves dignity
Document care and observations promptly and clearly in resident charts
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control guidelines
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Comfortable assisting with transfers and physical care duties
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved nursing assistant program (GNA) or equivalent certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADLs, safe transfers
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols
Team communication and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
