Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and fall prevention practices
• Document care and resident interactions clearly and accurately
• Support mealtime assistance and monitor dietary needs per care plans
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
• Active and clear background check and health screenings as required by facility
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity-centered care
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Clear verbal and written communication for shift reporting and documentation
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced long-term care setting
• Familiarity with resident-centered care plans and following directions from RN/LPN
