Shift Type: Night shifts, 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night). Rotating 12D/N schedule possible with assignments reviewed every 4 weeks; schedule may include days, nights, or combination depending on unit needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for adult BMT and oncology patients on a mixed-acuity MS/Telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to promptly identify changes in patient status
• Administer blood products safely and manage IV therapy/infusions with precision
• Perform central line and peripheral line care, PICC management, and port access/management
• Provide feeding tube care and day-to-day management for complex patients
• Respond to Rapid Response Team activations and escalate concerns when necessary
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, social services and more
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication with patients and families
• Follow infection prevention and fall-prevention protocols with a strong focus on patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) — required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) — preferred
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification — preferred but not required
• Oncology certification and hematology/oncology experience are a plus
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; must have MS and oncology experience (at least 1 year) within the last 3 years
• Comfortable with Epic charting and working in a fast-paced inpatient oncology/BMT setting
• Ability to float to other MedSurg Oncology units and work variable weekend coverage

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation (GE B450 telemetry system experience helpful)
• IV therapy, infusion management, and Alaris pump use
• Administration of blood & blood products and recognizing abnormal lab values
• Central line, PICC and port care, including central line blood draws
• Feeding tube care and nasal cannula oxygen administration
• Isolation precautions, PPE, and strong infection prevention practices
• CAR-T therapy, autologous/allogeneic/syngeneic transplant care familiarity
• Use of Rapid Response Teams and clear interdisciplinary communication
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting
