Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour day shifts: Monday-Friday — either 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM; Every-other-weekend coverage with variable starts including 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM. Day shifts (rotating), every other weekend required; holidays as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage Pyxis deliveries, run Pyxis inventory and perform monthly outdate checks to keep medication systems accurate and safe
• Prepare and compound sterile products following facility protocols and sterile compounding standards
• Perform crash cart checks and refills to ensure teams are ready during emergencies
• Handle phone triage and respond to medication messages clearly and promptly to support clinical staff
• Document medication dispensing and workflows in Epic to maintain precise patient records
• Support pharmacy operations across all hospital service areas (ER, ICU, inpatient, imaging, cath, hospice, etc.)

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) — PTCB certification indicated
• Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license (CO Technician License) required
• Minimum ~2 years experience in hospital pharmacy operations with demonstrated sterile compounding experience
• Comfortable using Epic EHR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Able to attend week-of-orientation in-state (even if some modules are remote); driver’s license required for submission (60-mile radius)
• Friendly, flexible, hardworking attitude and good teamwork/communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile compounding best practices and aseptic technique
• Pyxis setup, deliveries, inventory management and outdate processes
• Medication dispensing workflows and crash cart maintenance
• Epic charting and medication documentation
• Phone triage and responding to medication messages
• Familiarity with acute care environments (ER, ICU, inpatient, imaging, cath, hospice)
