Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on respiratory care, treatment and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia and COPD
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator settings across devices like Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral
• Perform and interpret ABGs to guide patient therapy and titration
• Deliver CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy (CPT) with attention to safety and comfort
• Accurately document assessments and interventions in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary team members during emergent and routine care
• Participate in quality improvement and contribute to a patient-focused, team-oriented culture

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
• Minimum 2 years current acute care hospital RRT experience (required)
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (must have)
• Meditech EMR experience (preferred by director)
• Trauma experience (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork and patient-focused communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator modes
• ABG analysis and interpretation
• CPAP and BiPAP therapy
• Nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Patient assessment and acute care procedures
• Comfortable documenting in Meditech and communicating with multidisciplinary teams
