Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry and vital signs, promptly recognizing and escalating changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely following physician orders and facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit quality improvement, safety initiatives, and shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license (or eligible for licensure) — required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry (as listed)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or recommended
• Strong clinical assessment skills and telemetry experience
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and function independently in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Med-Surg nursing procedures and patient care planning
• Medication administration and IV/monitoring basics appropriate to LPN/LVN scope
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) familiarity
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff and families
