Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity CVICU nursing care, managing ventilators and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform and manage invasive lines and devices including arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz, chest tubes and Impella support
• Deliver post-op CABG and cardiac surgery recovery care with attention to hemodynamics and patient stability
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and safety
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient status and escalate appropriately to maintain optimal outcomes
• Support and mentor teammates on unit workflows and best practices for critical care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience (adult ICU / CVICU / Neuro ICU or other critical care specialty) — must-have
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, arterial/central line care, and chest tube management
• Comfortable with advanced cardiac support technologies (Swan-Ganz, Impella, CRRT) and post-op CABG recovery
• Meditech EMR experience is a plus
• BSN and CCRN certification are preferred and well-regarded

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Proficient in invasive line care: arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz
• Chest tube management and post-operative cardiac care
• Familiarity with CRRT and Impella devices
• Accurate clinical documentation and effective interdisciplinary communication
• Ability to work effectively on night shifts and during rotating schedules
