Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Plant Operations, Environmental Services (EVS), Grounds and Maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable facility operations.
• Direct and provide supervision (direct and indirect) for approximately 45 FTEs across multiple divisions.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and inspect equipment to maintain operational standards and reduce downtime.
• Ensure continuous operation of utility systems (heat, steam, power, gas, oxygen) critical for patient care.
• Enforce regulatory compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS and local building/fire codes; coordinate inspections and corrective actions.
• Manage outside contractors to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a liaison across departments to assess needs and develop actionable plans that support clinical and operational goals.
• Develop job-specific customer service expectations and training plans; respond to employee and customer concerns in a timely, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to diagnose and repair equipment or systems
• Thorough knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC and general building maintenance
• Experience with autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes and construction phasing
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (candidate MUST be willing to relocate)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred)
