Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following department protocols and regulatory standards
• Serve as the primary patient interface for imaging needs, delivering respectful and compassionate care
• Process and transmit high-quality images to PACS efficiently and accurately
• Participate in quality improvement (PI/QC) activities to maintain high standards of service
• Follow State, Federal, HFAP and TJC regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
• Assist with patient preparation and venipuncture when certified, ensuring comfort and safety
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate findings or concerns to the care team

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT (R) certification (required)
• Current BCLS/BLS (AHA) certification
• Graduate of a JRCERT- or ABHES-accredited radiography program
• Must obtain fluoroscopy permit from CDPH within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations and hospital accreditation standards
• Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS
• DCI/BVP certification preferred; at least one year of Radiology Technologist experience preferred

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT- or ABHES-accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiography and patient positioning best practices
• PACS image handling and transmission
• Fluoroscopy fundamentals and safety principles
• Venipuncture technique and specimen handling (once certified)
• Quality improvement and QC processes
• Radiation safety and regulatory compliance
• Strong computer literacy and comfortable with electronic health record workflows
• Excellent patient communication and customer-service orientation
