Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for burn, trauma and surgical ICU patients
• Assess, monitor and manage complex patient conditions using critical care equipment
• Perform specialized procedures and care such as wound care, EVD management and participation in MTP
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and families during high-stress situations
• Support unit flow, mentor colleagues and contribute to a team-based culture

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (Trauma, Burn or Surgical ICU experience required)
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills — these are non-negotiable
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour night shifts and meet the weekend requirement

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care nursing and ICU protocols
• Experience with burn and trauma patient management
• Familiarity with critical care equipment and monitoring
• Comfort performing wound care, managing EVDs and supporting MTPs
• Ability to manage 2:1 ICU patient ratios safely and effectively
• Strong teamwork, prioritization and time-management skills
• Proficient Meditech documentation skills
