Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour nights). Typical schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week with weekend coverage and 1 RN call shift; travelers may float as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for laboring patients from admission through delivery and immediate postpartum
• Perform newborn immediate care and ensure safe transition to postnatal status
• Circulate and recover cesarean patients in the OR and post-anesthesia settings
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret tracings to support timely clinical decisions
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, techs and unit staff to coordinate safe deliveries
• Document care accurately using CPN and Meditach systems and support handoffs
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through shared decision making and compassionate communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery clinical experience (required)
• AWHONN Intermediate certification (not advanced) or CEFM required
• Current ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts, weekend coverage and assigned call shifts
• Experience with documentation systems such as CPN and Meditach is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Care of the laboring patient and intrapartum management
• Newborn immediate care and stabilization
• Circulating and recovering cesarean section patients
• Fetal monitoring and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM/CEFM)
• Vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia support and tub labor
• Familiarity with unit staffing models and working with unit secretaries and OR techs
• Ability to work in a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio environment
