Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications accurately to ensure patient safety
• Perform medication order review and clinical interventions when needed
• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile products following protocols
• Counsel patients and clinical staff on appropriate medication use
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy
• Document interventions and maintain accurate pharmacy records
• Participate in medication reconciliation and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in Florida or eligible for temporary licensure
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience as specified in the posting
• Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain if required
• Experience with hospital pharmacy operations including IV compounding
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of medications, dosing, interactions and side effects
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and pharmacy dispensing systems
• Skills in sterile compounding and medication preparation best practices
• Ability to perform medication reconciliation and clinical interventions
• Strong teamwork, time management and patient counseling abilities
