Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies to support a full scope of surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during cases including total joints, spine, transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics
• Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Accurately document case details and patient information in Meditech
• Respond promptly to on-call activations and support emergent cases when needed
• Collaborate with OR staff to self-schedule and ensure consistent, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) required
• DORA and NBSTSA certifications required (candidates without these will not be considered)
• On-call response capability within 30 minutes
• Preferred: 3+ years of OR experience; experience with Transplant and/or Spine highly desired
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR in the perioperative setting

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and CST certification required
• NBSTSA and DORA certifications required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of OR protocols, sterile technique, and surgical instrumentation
• Experience with procedures: Total Joints, Spine, Transplants (kidney/liver), Robotics, Vascular, ENT, Plastics
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented operating room environment
• Reliable on-call readiness and strong communication skills
