Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care for antepartum and labor/delivery patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement nursing interventions and continuously evaluate patient responses
• Monitor fetal status using fetal monitoring and respond to changes appropriately
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to support safe outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete specialty competency testing as required
• Adhere to infection control and facility health requirements, including vaccination policies

Qualifications

• Active RI RN license required
• Minimum 2+ years of LDR or Antepartum nursing experience
• Fetal monitoring experience required; C-EFM preferred
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN and fetal heart monitoring certification required
• Current CPR and other specialty-specific certifications as required
• English proficiency and ability to complete CNE skills and specialty competency exams
• Compliance with facility health requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB screening, etc.)

• Fetal monitoring (intermittent and electronic fetal monitoring)
• LDR and Antepartum nursing workflows
• Strong communication and family-centered care approach
• Ability to complete and pass specialty competency and pharmacology exams
