Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care across MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU units, including post-procedural and post-cardiac care
• Monitor and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias; act quickly and appropriately
• Titrate and manage IV drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin) per unit protocols
• Deliver focused care for geriatric and orthopedic patients and support cath-lab post-procedure recovery
• Float between campuses and units as needed, adapting quickly to differing patient populations and workflows
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including monitor techs and RTs, to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in required orientation and unit-specific training to maintain competence and safety
• Communicate clearly with staffing and nursing leadership about assignments and patient needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to work in Arizona)
• Minimum requirements per posting: 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year of PCU/stepdown experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Successful completion of employer dysrhythmia exam (must score 80% within two attempts prior to contract signing)
• Comfort and experience titrating common drips and managing telemetry patients
• Flexible traveler-ready mindset: must not have been full-time/part-time/PRN with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities within the past year and must meet the 50-mile radius rule

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN not required (BSN Required: No per posting); associate degree or diploma acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry/ECG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Competence with IV drip titration and vasoactive medication management
• Experience with PCU/stepdown and MedSurg nursing workflows
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Ability to use/coordinate with respiratory equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, heated high-flow
• Skilled at caring for post-cardiac/procedural patients and groin-site management
• Team-oriented communication with monitor techs, charge nurses and ancillary staff
• Comfort floating across units and adapting to changing assignments
