Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care across inpatient settings — manage ventilators and deliver BiPAP/NIV treatments
• Set up and manage ventilators and bubble CPAP for neonatal patients (level 2 nursery, 32 weeks and up)
• Perform ABG sampling and interpret results to guide patient care
• Administer nebulizer treatments and support conscious sedation and cardioversion standby
• Assist with intubations and collaborate closely with physicians and advanced providers
• Document care accurately in EPIC and communicate clearly during handoffs
• Serve as a reliable team member on night shift with 4+ RTs on duty during nights

Qualifications

• Active WA RT license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP not explicitly required)
• RRT preferred; CRT is acceptable
• NICU experience required and strong level 2 nursery competency (bubble CPAP experience)
• Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
• Minimum ~2 years of respiratory therapy experience (per job details)
• Familiarity with inpatient acute care workflows and working with adult, pediatric and neonatal patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and ventilator setup
• Bubble CPAP management for neonates
• BiPAP/NIV setup and management
• ABG drawing and interpretation
• Nebulizer treatments and respiratory procedures
• Familiarity with PB 980, Philips V60 and Respironics Lumis ventilator platforms
• Charting and documentation in EPIC
• Ability to assist with intubation and support critical care interventions
