Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the cardiac catheterization lab
• Prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms continuously and respond to changes promptly
• Assist physicians and the procedural team during catheterization and angiography procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards
• Document patient assessments, procedural details, and post-procedure care accurately
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure expectations, and discharge instructions
• Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to CAP requirements for documentation

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required upon submission
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) required
• AHA ACLS required
• One year of Cath Lab/Angio experience or equivalent training preferred
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (per CAP moderate complexity testing rules)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required due to CAP requirements)
• Current RN licensure for the state of Oregon (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and cath lab workflow
• Strong patient monitoring and hemodynamic assessment skills
• Proficiency with sterile technique and procedural prep
• Ability to recognize and respond to ECG changes and procedural complications
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Comfortable with documentation standards and regulatory compliance
