Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and review medications to ensure safe, accurate patient therapy
• Perform vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring
• Provide pain consults to support optimal pain management plans
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee sterile IV compounding workflows
• Utilize Dose Edge to verify compounded products and check Pyxis for inventory
• Manage first-dose dispensing and emergency medication box readiness
• Document interventions and communicate with multidisciplinary care teams
• Use Meditech EMR for medication reconciliation and clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Missouri (MO Pharmacist License required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience (as listed)
• Pharmacist professional licensure and active good standing
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient pharmacy workflows and medication verification best practices
• Vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing protocols
• Sterile IV compounding processes and Dose Edge verification
• Familiarity with Pyxis and Pak Edge medication systems
• Experience using Meditech EMR
• Team leadership skills for supervising technicians and managing priorities
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
