Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to oncology and BMT ICU patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP patients with confidence and clinical precision
• Titrate drips and vasoactive medications while continuously monitoring patient response
• Perform total care tasks including turning, dressing changes, and trach care
• Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and handoffs
• Support unit staffing needs and float across ICUs, PCU, and BMT when needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state-specific) and active ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU critical care experience (strong ICU background required)
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and titrating drips
• Comfort caring for BiPAP patients and managing A-lines and IV pumps
• CRRT experience and transplant ICU exposure (kidney, pancreas, liver) preferred
• Ability to work rotating nights and weekends with a team-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Ventilator management and BiPAP patient care
• Titration of vasoactive drips and advanced IV pump management
• Familiarity with CRRT and A-line care
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records
• Strong communication, teamwork, and rapport-building with physicians and staff
• Ability to provide compassionate total care to critically ill oncology/BMT patients
