Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity ICU nursing care and continuous monitoring for critically ill patients
• Perform thorough assessments, develop nursing plans, and execute timely interventions
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, titrate vasoactive medications and advanced therapies
• Respond quickly and effectively to codes and emergency situations
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech 6.0
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed, delivering safe, compassionate care across settings
• Accept scheduled 24-hour call shifts and ensure continuity of patient care during those periods

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (AZ licensure or applicable compact licensure where required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications REQUIRED
• Clinical ICU experience and comfort managing critically ill adult patients
• Willingness to float to Med/Surg when requested
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and taking scheduled 24-hour call shifts
• Experience with Meditech 6.0 EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory support
• Skill in hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting invasive lines
• Proficiency in medication administration and titration for critical-care meds
• Accurate bedside assessment, triage, and prioritization skills
• Solid EMR documentation skills (Meditech 6.0 preferred)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and crisis-management abilities
