Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality outpatient radiographic exams with focus and care
• Position patients and equipment accurately to produce diagnostically useful images
• Operate digital X-ray systems and ensure images are properly labeled and transmitted
• Maintain patient safety by following radiation protection and infection-control practices
• Communicate results and collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support patient care
• Document procedures, maintain patient records, and manage imaging files (PACS/DICOM)
• Assist with portable/bedside imaging when needed and help triage urgent imaging requests

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (or equivalent) in Radiography preferred
• California Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in outpatient X-ray settings preferred (experience with 10-hour shifts a plus)
• Strong patient care and communication skills; dependable and detail-oriented
• Ability to work occasional weekends and adapt to rotating schedules

Education

• Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and exposure techniques for common outpatient studies
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM workflows, and basic troubleshooting of digital imaging systems
• Comfortable with patient lifting/transfer assistance and maintaining a safe environment
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and ability to prioritize urgent exams
