Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and provide skilled emergency nursing care to stabilize and treat patients
• Manage a patient load consistent with a 1:3-4 ratio while delivering safe, compassionate care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Float within scope to like units when needed to support patient care and staffing
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control, and observed holiday coverage expectations
• Support unit efficiency and quality by participating in unit processes and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience
• Experience charting in Epic
• Comfortable working night 12-hour shifts and meeting 1:3-4 patient ratios
• Willingness to work every other weekend as required
• Able to float within scope to similar units when needed
• First-time travelers accepted

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Ability to manage time and priorities during 12-hour night shifts
• Familiarity with short-term acute care and trauma center workflows
