Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert, patient-centered care in the cath lab and interventional suites
• Respond to call pages and arrive within 30 minutes to manage urgent cases
• Perform and assist with circulator duties, vascular access, and complex procedures like thrombectomies and angiograms
• Monitor invasive lines including Pulmonary Artery (Swan-Ganz) and ICP when indicated
• Provide anesthesia/pain-support procedures such as epidurals and nerve blocks as needed
• Document thorough, timely patient care in Epic and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
• Support trauma and stroke interventions, collaborating with physicians during embolizations and endovascular procedures

Qualifications

• Active RN clinical background (registered nurse level) with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Trauma Level II experience is required; Trauma Level I experience is a plus
• Certifications required: ACLS and LA City Fire Card
• Proven proficiency with Epic charting
• Ability to reliably accept on-call shifts (including New Year's Eve/New Year's Day) and be on-site within 30 minutes
• Previous charge experience preferred but not required; first-timers accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and interventional radiology workflows
• Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Circulating procedures in the cath lab
• Vascular access (dialysis lines, ports, PICCs, etc.)
• Trauma procedures including embolizations
• Stroke interventions such as thrombectomy and neuro angiograms
• Pain management techniques (epidurals, nerve blocks)
• Familiarity with ICP monitoring and critical care principles
• Strong interdisciplinary communication and Epic documentation skills
