Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients and families
- Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
- Respond to emergencies using BLS/ACLS protocols and participate in rapid response teams as needed
- Perform trauma/stroke assessments and interventions consistent with TNCC and NIHSS training
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
- Complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
- Maintain required health screenings and immunizations to ensure a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure) or ability to obtain verification prior to start
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
- Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen and required health screenings
- Up-to-date immunizations: Tdap, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit testing for respirators and a completed physical/health statement
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Proficiency with BLS/ACLS protocols and emergency response
- Trauma and stroke assessment skills (TNCC, NIHSS)
- Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced care settings
- Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to learn and demonstrate facility-specific competencies quickly
