Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients and families
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
• Respond to emergencies using BLS/ACLS protocols and participate in rapid response teams as needed
• Perform trauma/stroke assessments and interventions consistent with TNCC and NIHSS training
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
• Complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Maintain required health screenings and immunizations to ensure a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure) or ability to obtain verification prior to start
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen and required health screenings
• Up-to-date immunizations: Tdap, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Fit testing for respirators and a completed physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Proficiency with BLS/ACLS protocols and emergency response
• Trauma and stroke assessment skills (TNCC, NIHSS)
• Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced care settings
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to learn and demonstrate facility-specific competencies quickly
