Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert post-operative and critical cardiac care for CVICU patients
- Continuously monitor hemodynamics and respond to changes with timely interventions
- Administer and titrate vasoactive medications and advanced therapies per protocol
- Manage invasive lines, ventilators, and other critical support devices
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and professionally
- Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery expectations with compassion
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or eligibility through compact licensure
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU or cardiac ICU experience (as listed in the job data)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Critical care certification such as CCRN is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening, and to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of post-operative cardiac care and CVICU protocols
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and arterial/central line management
- Experience with ventilator management and weaning in the critical care setting
- Solid ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
- Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills for fast-paced care
