Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the care team promptly
• Support meal service and feeding assistance with attention to dietary needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Follow infection control protocols and facility safety procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or equivalent (required)
• Active state certification or eligibility to work in Maryland
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
• Basic clinical skills including taking vitals and observing for changes
• Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork
