Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (schedule varies), primary day shift 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; may rotate to 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM and includes on-call
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to women in labor, through delivery and postpartum
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor labor progress
- Prepare and staff C-sections and assist with inductions when needed
- Administer IV medications safely and adhere to infection control practices
- Provide newborn care and perform neonatal assessments immediately after delivery
- Document nursing care accurately and timely to support continuity of care
- Prepare the delivery room, coordinate transfers, and provide emotional support to families
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- ACLS certification required within one year of employment
- Obstetrics experience preferred; 4 years in OB care preferred
- Ability to perform physical demands of the role including periods of standing, walking, and lifting
- Comfort working in high-acuity, emotionally charged situations and collaborating with diverse teams
Education
- RN graduate with current Colorado licensure (diploma, ADN, or BSN accepted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor & Delivery nursing fundamentals including fetal and labor monitoring
- Postpartum care and newborn care skills
- IV medication administration and sterile technique
- Infection control principles and safe documentation practices
- C-section preparation and intraoperative support knowledge
- Patient education and strong communication skills
- Ability to perform maternal assessments and coordinate transfers
