Shift Type: Rotating 10-13 hour AM and PM shifts, Monday - Saturday (AM example: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; PM example: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM) - rotating schedule to meet staffing needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and deliver safe, evidence-based dialysis care for chronic in-center patients
- Supervise and mentor dialysis technicians to ensure high standards of care
- Assess and monitor patients before, during and after treatments and respond to changes
- Administer medications and adjust treatments per standing orders and care plans
- Provide patient education to support self-care, dietary needs and treatment adherence
- Collaborate closely with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with facility protocols
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Washington State Board of Nursing or a Multi-State Compact RN license
- American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (current CPR/BLS certification required)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; prior dialysis experience required
- Prior acute care or ambulatory nursing experience is preferred
- Ability to work AM and PM shifts and travel between peninsula clinics (Poulsbo, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Port Townsend)
- Strong communication skills and comfort supervising technicians and coordinating care
Knowledge & Skills
- Hemodialysis procedures and dialysis nursing best practices
- Medication administration for dialysis patients
- Patient assessment, monitoring and care plan development
- CPR and Basic Life Support for healthcare settings
- Patient education and care coordination with nephrology team members
- Participation in quality improvement and documentation standards
