Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Document care accurately so the team has the information they need
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Comfortable working with geriatric populations and supporting daily living needs
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus but not required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered support
- Skill measuring and recording vital signs accurately
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic infection prevention practices
- Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
