Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support meal service, feeding assistance, and safe mealtime practices
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification in good standing
- Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work night shifts and be available for per diem scheduling
- Clean background check and required immunizations/tuberculosis screening
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and age-related needs
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident mobility
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
- Familiarity with charting and clear, concise communication
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
- Teamwork, reliability, and the ability to prioritize resident needs
