Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Position patients safely and compassionately, educating them about procedures to ensure cooperation and comfort
• Perform X-ray and fluoroscopic exams and assist radiologists with routine and interventional CT procedures
• Demonstrate safe IV placement and administer contrast per protocol, monitoring patients for reactions
• Evaluate images for technical quality, label and archive studies in PACS, and maintain accurate EHR documentation
• Adhere to radiation safety (ALARA) practices and troubleshoot equipment issues, escalating to service engineers as needed
• Support departmental operations: order and maintain supplies, assist with clerical tasks and patient transport when required
• Train, assist, and cross-train imaging staff to build a flexible, high-performing team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT certification required; MRI certification preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a CT Technologist
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (Thursday–Saturday) and take call/overtime as needed
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for roles requiring driving) and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Successful background check, pre-employment drug screen, and completion of Employee Health screening

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration (Radiology) with CT certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in CT imaging, X-ray, and fluoroscopy techniques
• Skilled in IV placement, contrast administration, and power injector operation
• Experience with PACS, RIS, HIS, and EHR systems
• Strong patient positioning skills and ability to evaluate image quality
• Familiarity with interventional CT procedures and C-arm/OR imaging
• Working knowledge of radiation safety (ALARA) and manufacturer equipment recommendations
• Comfort performing supply inventory tasks, basic clerical duties, and cross-training responsibilities
