Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing for trauma, burn and surgical ICU patients
• Assess, monitor and manage complex patients using critical care equipment and protocols
• Perform wound care, manage EVDs, and participate in massive transfusion protocols (MTP)
• Respond rapidly and effectively to codes and emergent situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate patient status during handoffs
• Advocate for patient safety and maintain appropriate patient ratios (ICU 2:1)

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU preferred)
• Comfortable with critical care equipment and high-acuity patient management
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• BSN preferred
• CCRN certification a plus

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience in Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Surgical ICU environments
• Skilled in wound care, EVD management, MTP and code response
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for clinical documentation
• Ability to manage 2:1 ICU patient ratios and support PCU when needed
• Team-oriented approach and willingness to float to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or PCU
