Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes at least 4 weekends per schedule period (Night shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care nursing for ICU patients, maintaining a typical 2:1 patient ratio
- Perform and manage invasive procedures such as central line and arterial line placement and monitoring
- Assist with and manage intubation and ventilator care when required
- Care for patients with EVDs in coordination with core staff and neurosurgery teams
- Document patient care and clinical changes accurately using Meditech EMR
- Monitor hemodynamics, titrate vasoactive infusions, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
- Serve as a reliable, accountable team member who supports peers during high-acuity situations
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (state licensure required for practice in Texas)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (explicit requirement)
- ACLS certification (required)
- Experience or comfort with Meditech EMR is preferred
- Experience in oncology or neuro critical care is a plus
- Demonstrated competency with central line, arterial line, intubation, and EVD patient care
- Strong teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or nursing diploma; BSN preferred
- Ongoing professional development encouraged
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing principles and ICU workflow
- Invasive line management (central lines, arterial lines) and related troubleshooting
- Airway management and ventilator basics including intubation support
- EVD patient care and monitoring practices
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records
- Ability to manage complex meds and titrate vasoactive drips
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and documentation
