Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting system to support service line profitability analysis and ensure data integrity
• Publish monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and produce actionable practice scorecards
• Develop financial feasibility, cost and reimbursement templates in STRATA, calculating ROI, NPV, IRR and payback
• Lead implementation and maintenance of the STRATA forecasting module and support ERP/leasing software components
• Prepare and validate reporting for rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, EMMA) and support annual financial audits
• Establish routine leadership reviews to identify unfavorable variances and drive performance improvement plans
• Train and mentor managers, directors, and the decision support team to interpret productivity tools and ad hoc reports
• Support major strategic and financial planning projects with rigorous decision support and feasibility analyses

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support (required)
• Experience with STRATA financial software or a similar platform (required)
• Healthcare experience, preferably in hospital finance, contracting, or reimbursement (required)
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration
• Preferred certifications: financial and/or healthcare certifications (e.g., CPA, HFMA credentials)
• Proven leadership experience mentoring supervisors and analysts and working cross-functionally
• Ability to work onsite at the Dover, DE Kent Campus Hospital and collaborate with operational leaders

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration

Knowledge & Skills

• Cost accounting and service line profitability analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting and P&L preparation
• STRATA financial software and rolling forecast modules
• Financial modeling and feasibility analysis (ROI, NPV, IRR, payback)
• ERP and leasing software oversight experience
• Reporting to rating agencies and audit support (S&P, Fitch, EMMA)
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting tools
• Strong training, mentoring and communication skills
