Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert ventilator management and continuous respiratory support for high-acuity patients
- Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
- Assist with intubations and perform tracheostomy care with attention to safety and comfort
- Deliver bronchodilator therapy, high flow oxygen therapy and airway clearance procedures
- Respond promptly and effectively to code blue events as part of the emergency response team
- Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Safely transport respiratory patients and coordinate care transitions
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and discharge plans
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience; ICU experience preferred
- Current state respiratory licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee
- Demonstrated competency with ventilator management and emergency airway procedures
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree or higher)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with Drager ventilators, Phillips V60, Vapotherm and Metaneb
- Strong skills in ventilator management, airway management and patient assessment
- Proficient in ABG collection and interpretation and bronchodilator therapy
- Comfortable with high flow O2 therapy, trach care and intubation assist
- Experience documenting in Meditech and working within fast-paced critical care environments
- Calm, decisive code blue response and excellent interdisciplinary communication
