Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage complex cardiovascular ICU patients with precision, including hemodynamic monitoring and Swan Ganz care
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and provide advanced ventilator management
• Care for patients with arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and CRRT devices
• Collaborate closely with physicians, perfusionists, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR to maintain continuity and safety
• Provide clear, compassionate education and support to patients and families during high-acuity moments
• Participate in unit safety practices and quality improvement efforts to help drive better outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)
• Demonstrated ventilator management and arterial/central line and chest tube management skills
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz, and CRRT highly desirable
• Meditech EMR experience is a plus
• BSN and CCRN are preferred but not required

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting invasive pressures
• Experience with Swan Ganz catheter management and arterial line monitoring
• Comfort with CRRT and familiarity with Impella devices
• Ability to manage chest tubes and other post-op cardiac procedures such as CABG recovery
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic charting skills in Meditech
• Team communication, situational awareness, and crisis management skills
