Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Prepare patients and the OR environment for surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth case flow
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection prevention standards
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Document care accurately and support transitions to post-anesthesia care
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused culture that prioritizes patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (eligible to practice in Colorado)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an RN with operating room experience
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts with night and weekend on-call responsibilities
• Current BLS certification; perioperative certifications preferred if available
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
• Patient assessment and intraoperative monitoring
• Familiarity with OR equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced surgical settings
• Clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
