Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered orthopedic nursing care across inpatient settings
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac status as needed and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, efficient patient care
• Provide skilled assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately in Meditech
• Support throughput and patient flow by assisting with admissions, discharges and transfers
• Flex and adapt to different units in the float pool while maintaining nursing standards
• Educate patients and families about post-op care, recovery expectations and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active licensure required
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (experience noted in posting)
• Strong Telemetry experience preferred — must have 2 years of Tele experience
• Chemo Certification is a nice-to-have for potential Oncology unit scheduling
• Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Team player with flexibility and willingness to float across units

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and bedside nursing for orthopedic and med/surgical populations
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Orthopedic care fundamentals including post-op management
• Experience working in a float pool and adapting to varied unit workflows
• Proficiency using Meditech electronic medical record
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
• Compassionate patient education and family communication
