Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, call required (night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency department
- Provide direct patient care including monitoring, medication administration, and critical interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to develop and implement care plans
- Perform acute emergency procedures and respond to codes and trauma situations with confidence
- Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record (Meditech experience preferred)
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions with compassion
- Support unit operations by participating in shift handoffs, staffing requests, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted) — required
- NIH certification — required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications — required
- 2+ years of experience as an RN and 2+ years of specialty experience in Emergency Department nursing — required
- Meditech experience — preferred
- Comfort working rotating 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend schedule
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
- Proven ability to manage high-acuity patients and multiple competing priorities
- Familiarity with emergency protocols, trauma care, and resuscitation
- Effective communication and teamwork under pressure
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Meditech preferred)
- Good documentation practices and clinical judgment
