Shift Type: Night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, 12-hour nights; rotating nights with every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement and winter holiday coverage; floating within Region I as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a 24-bed PCU/stepdown unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and remote monitor alerts; collaborate with monitor techs and RNs for approvals
- Safely titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips (Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix)
- Manage respiratory support including CPAP, BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen
- Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, techs and support staff to coordinate acute care
- Float to other Region I facilities as needed and support charge nurse/house supervisor processes when assigned
- Participate in unit orientation and support a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Active RN license (able to submit license; willingness to wait is accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with PCU / stepdown experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip titration
- Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend scheduling
- Epic (electronic charting) experience preferred
- Ability to float within Region I facilities and adapt to varied unit workflows
Education
- Active RN license required; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- PCU and stepdown patient assessment and management
- Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Cardiac drip titration and vasoactive medication management
- Acute care nursing and common PCU diagnoses (pneumonia, ARDS, post-cath care, HTN urgency, ETOH withdrawal)
- Respiratory support: CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow Oxygen
- Remote monitor workflows and RN approval processes
- Charge/lead responsibilities and effective team communication
- Proficient charting in EPIC and accurate clinical documentation
