Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends; schedule: 2 x 8-hour shifts + 2 x 12-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week); rotating day and night coverage, must be available to work every weekend

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care for acute care patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) and safe patient transfers
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to care planning discussions
- Adhere to infection control policies and hospital safety protocols
- Support interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — certified via Prometric Hawaii (required)
- Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights and every weekend
- Able to work a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts as scheduled
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred (demonstrates ability to handle higher-acuity patients)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Education
- CNA certification (Prometric Hawaii)
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational acute care knowledge and basic patient assessment (vital signs, mobility, ADLs)
- Proficiency in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with infection control standards and bedside safety
- Good charting habits and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
