Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Deliver anesthesia for a diverse case mix including trauma, obstetrics, spine, thoracic, vascular, orthopedics and more
- Participate in a collaborative call/on-call rotation that supports team coverage and work-life balance
- Work closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to optimize perioperative care
- Maintain and expand procedural skills across multiple surgical specialties to meet evolving patient needs
- Engage in mentorship of colleagues and learners to strengthen the department and develop future leaders
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, mutual respect and continuous improvement in a physician-led health system
- Optionally participate in teaching and leadership opportunities to grow your academic and administrative experience
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree and completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Anesthesiology (explicit requirement)
- Active or eligible for Colorado medical license (ability to obtain state licensure required)
- Comfort and competence practicing across multiple settings including trauma centers and outpatient surgery
- Commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and maintaining procedural skills across specialties
- Willingness to participate in equitable call coverage as part of the team
- US work authorization required — unable to support visa candidates for this position
- This role is not open to locum tenens or locum-to-perm arrangements
Education
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Anesthesiology
Knowledge & Skills
- General anesthesiology across a broad surgical case mix (trauma, OB, spine, thoracic, vascular, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology, GI procedures)
- Perioperative patient care and anesthetic planning for high-acuity cases
- Strong procedural skills and adaptability across surgical specialties
- Collaborative communication with surgeons, APPs, nursing and multidisciplinary teams
- Mentorship and teaching abilities with a desire to support colleagues and learners
- Commitment to safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice
