Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and ADL-related physical impairments, then build individualized, outcomes-driven plans of care
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
- Deliver skilled rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, and use of assistive devices
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions, documenting outcomes clearly in the electronic record
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and make referrals based on treatment outcomes
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, interdisciplinary team members, families and caregivers to remove barriers to recovery
- Participate in utilization review, patient care conferences, and rehabilitation meetings to support high-quality care
- Supervise and mentor occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students when appropriate
Qualifications
- 1 year of occupational therapy experience (required)
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings (required)
- Current OT license (Missouri) — Compact allowed
- NBCOT and familiarity with AOTA practice standards and ethics
- Comfort using electronic documentation systems and accurately recording treatment minutes
- Ability to obtain necessary DME and supplies per clinical and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Knowledge & Skills
- ADL retraining and therapeutic exercises
- Patient evaluation and standardized assessments
- Treatment planning, documentation and discharge summaries
- Evidence-based practice and utilization review participation
- Experience with Medicare A and B, managed care, and productivity expectations
- Comfort supervising assistants and mentoring students
- Familiarity with DME needs and assistive/supportive devices
