Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Ladera Center
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when appropriate
• Support residents and families through clear communication and empathetic care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications preferred where applicable
• Previous experience in long term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and collaborate with the care team
• Proof of required immunizations and clear background checks as per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program for LPN or an accredited nursing program for RN

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and clinical documentation
• Comfortable with medication administration and treatment protocols
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced overnight setting
