Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality Maternal Fetal Medicine clinical care for high-risk pregnancies
- Manage and coordinate maternal transports, including collaboration with air and ground transport teams
- Participate in hospital-based deliveries and coordinate care with OB hospitalists
- Work closely with neonatology and pediatric subspecialists to optimize perinatal outcomes
- Engage in and contribute to clinical research projects and scholarly activity
- Mentor and educate trainees and junior physicians in an active academic environment
- Utilize advanced MFM technologies and stay current with evolving clinical practices
- Support outreach clinics across the region to extend specialist care to broader communities
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree and completion of an accredited Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship
- Board certified or board eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Active Colorado medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Colorado
- Experience with hospital-based deliveries, high-risk pregnancy management, and maternal transport coordination
- Strong collaborative skills working with OB hospitalists, neonatology, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to research, education, mentorship, and academic productivity
- US work authorization required; this opportunity is not accepting visa candidates
- Permanent residency within the immediate local area required; relocation assistance may be available
Education
- MD or DO
- Completed fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in high-risk pregnancy assessment and management
- Skilled in perinatal transport coordination and triage
- Ability to collaborate effectively with OB hospitalists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with advanced Maternal Fetal Medicine technologies and diagnostic tools
- Research literacy and experience contributing to clinical studies or quality improvement
- Strong teaching and mentorship abilities for trainees and colleagues
- Excellent communication and patient-family centered care skills
